Overview
Renowned worldwide for its exceptional wines, Bordeaux’s fame is rooted in its unique terroir, shaped by the rivers and landscapes that define this historic region. From the sandy shores of the Atlantic coast with its mild climate, to the nutrient-rich banks of the Garonne River, and the limestone slopes bordering the Dordogne, Bordeaux is a mosaic of diverse soils that nurture some of the most distinguished wines in the world.
What sets Bordeaux apart is its remarkable variety. The deep, full-bodied reds of Saint-Émilion, Pomerol, and Médoc -featuring iconic châteaux like Lafite-Rothschild, Margaux, and Latour - are known across the globe. Meanwhile, the luscious whites of Sauternes and Montbazillac, often described as liquid gold, offer a sensory experience with their vibrant colour and exquisite aromas.
But Bordeaux is far more than its celebrated wines. This region exudes sophistication at every turn. Indulge in fresh oysters from La Teste-de-Buch, savor the duck delicacies of medieval Bergerac, and explore the culinary delights of the region’s traditional markets. This 7-day journey is a true epicurean adventure, designed for lovers of both fine wine and exquisite cuisine.
Throughout the tour, you’ll have exclusive access to some of the world’s most renowned vineyards, tasting exceptional vintages in the heart of Pauillac, Saint-Émilion, Pomerol, and Sauternes. Each day ends in charming villages surrounded by rolling vineyards and elegant châteaux, where you can enjoy authentic French cuisine in traditional restaurants.
Relax along the scenic Atlantic coastline, with some of the finest beaches in the region, and don’t miss the chance to wander the historic streets of Bordeaux itself. Here, the city’s grand architecture and vibrant atmosphere offer a perfect blend of old-world charm and cosmopolitan allure. This is more than a tour - it’s a journey into the heart of French wine country, where every sip, sight, and taste tells a story.
